Directions

Elk River is located 5 miles south of WV 66 (Snowshoe turnoff) and 16 miles north of Marlinton on US 219. Look for a light colored sign "Elk River Inn & Restaurant" and turn immediately onto a bridge over the Elk headwaters.

From the North (Pittsburgh, Ohio, etc) I-79 South to Weston, WV, east on Us-33 to Elkins, south on Hwy 219 for 53 miles to Slatyfork.

From the East (Washington DC, Virginia) I-66 West to I-81 South to Staunton VA, exit 222 to Route 250 West to Churchville, 42 South to Goshen, 39 West to Marlinton WV, 219 North for 17 miles to Slatyfork
Alternate Route from East () I-81 South to Harrisonburg, VA, 33 west exit. Take 33 west into WV, through Franlkin, WV. Take 28 south to WV 66 west, through Cass, WV, past the entrances to Snowshoe, to U. S. 219. South on 219 5 miles to Elk River Inn & Restaurant on right.

Alternate Route II from East () I-81 South to Strasburg, VA, 55 west exit. Take 55 west into WV, to Petersburg, WV. Take 28 south through Moorefield, Seneca Rocks, Greenbank. Turn right on to WV 66 west, through Cass, WV, past the entrances to Snowshoe, to U. S. 219. South on 219 5 miles to Elk River Inn & Restaurant on right.

From the Southeast (North Carolina) 220 North to I-64 West to White Sulphur Springs, exit US-60 through White Sulphur Springs to 92 North, then 39 West to Marlinton WV, then 219 North for 17 miles to Slatyfork

From the Southwest (Kentucky) I-77 North to I-64 East to White Sulphur Springs, exit US-60 through White Sulphur Springs to 92 North, then 39 West to Marlinton WV, then 219 North for 17 miles to Slatyfork.
